Lots of my creative work/background is at the intersection of product design, content creation, and pop culture, and I had the exciting opportunity to contribute to Charli XCX's latest album, Brat Summer. Tapped by someone close to the creative team, I leveraged my content and design skills to develop digital mockups and render wireframes of a quick viral idea that embodied the bold, rebellious energy of the album.
By the weeks before the album release, the word "brat" was starting to take the Internet by storm, and we aimed to capitalize on that momentum in a fun, memorable way.
So I created a "random" word generator for the album’s landing page that filled in the phrase "Have a ____ Summer"—always inserting "brat" to keep the campaign cheeky and on-brand.
This playful interaction aligned perfectly with the album’s theme and created a unique touchpoint for fans.
Part of my map-out in Figma, designing each asset from scratch to ensure a cohesive visual identity:
This project honestly felt like a natural extension of my work creating content as @mattacrylic, where I’m constantly operating at the intersection of social media, pop culture, content and media. Staying plugged into the Internet zeitgeist allows me to craft content and designs that resonate deeply with audiences, and this Brat Summer was a perfect project for me to zero in on using my particular blend of skills.
hope you had a good brat summer.
